About Therapy
Rooted in Care and Human Connection

Learn to navigate life’s challenges.
I understand why someone might be hesitant to seek therapy. It requires having the trust to share one’s innermost feelings with someone whom you have just met. This is why my first goal is for us to get acquainted so that we can share a trusting relationship.
My goal at Pine Street Mental Health is to create the kind of space I once needed myself: calm, real, and human. In this space, you can slow down, sort through the noise, and start to feel like yourself again.
I became a therapist because I’ve seen what happens when life’s weight goes unshared for too long. The stress, the self-doubt, the exhaustion – it all builds quietly until something gives.

Our work is collaborative.
It is never rushed, always transparent. Therapy here isn’t about “fixing” what’s wrong; it’s about helping your system find a rhythm that supports healing and growth.
We’ll combine insight with practical tools so that what happens in session translates into everyday life.
Clients often describe my style as calm, straightforward, and validating.
I draw from EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you process trauma, reduce anxiety and depression, and find clarity in daily life. The approaches I use depend on your specific needs.
About Neil Sanchez, MA, LPC

I found my purpose.
Life has a way of wearing people down quietly, and I’ve always valued the work of helping people rebuild from that place. I show up steady and straightforward, keeping the focus on what actually matters. My goal is to help people regain their footing and find a sense of direction.
I built Pine Street Mental Health around two ideas that mean a lot to me: resilience and direction. Pine trees hold steady through hard seasons – rooted, flexible, and durable. That same steadiness is what I aim to help people reclaim. The “Street” is about a clearer way forward – something grounded and manageable, walked one step at a time.

I put the training behind the mission.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master’s in clinical mental health. I draw from EMDR-informed work, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and other trauma-focused approaches. I also offer AcuDetox/AcuWellness for clients who want added nervous-system support. Everything I use in therapy is aimed at achieving clarity, stability, and genuine progress.
Outside of work…
…I try to keep life quiet and steady. I spend time with my dogs, Mochi and Chewy, and I train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu – both keep me grounded and focused. When I need to reset, I look for calm places that help me think clearly and settle back into myself.
